Are you able to compile any of the examples that come with devkitARM? That would be a first step in getting things working.

Sorry, there's no official support given for people using SVN. It's not meant for end-users, only for people who are actively helping to develop/test new versions libnds. If you can't figure out SVN you should probably just use the latest officially released version, and wait for the next release.

Unfortunately, moonshell has somewhat of a reputation for having horrible code. So it's very likely that the example, is in fact, uncompilable. The only thing I can think to suggest is to build a standalone player, but that doesn't help much for playing within moonshell.
