IMHO I wouldn't use the PSG at all, given the hardware can do much more than square waves, but if you really don't want to use the samples it's up to you

if you can change volumes quick enough you might generate something that resembles a PCM.

IF you've got the devkit+libraries from that very same era (which means you can actually compile your sources with these with no problems) - then you're almost done, you just have to make that tiny tweak and recompile.

Unfortunately in this case I'm the one using a very old devkitPro/libnds (pre-fifo!) and I'm trying to use nitroFS. Weird that with FAT it works and even if I succeed in compiling nitroFS from 2009 sources (fixing the few bugs that were discovered later) then it somehow breaks ARM7 code. How can thi...
