Re: Can't properly install 3.0.3, due to denied permissions

If the uninstaller exists (uninst.exe in the devkitpro folder) then run it and remove the partial install. If the uninstaller hasn't been written to disk then just remove the whole devkitPro folder manually and reboot. Try downloading and running the installer again. Hopefully it should just work now.

Re: Comcast blocking site

Thanks for letting us know. This has been an issue for a while now and we don't know why Xfinity Xfi Advanced Security intermittently decides to block the package repositories claiming that they're malware. See https://twitter.com/devkitPro/status/1298393933496692738 We would be grateful if you coul...

Re: devkitARM and tools on Android

What device are you thinking about trying to use? Do you know what processor it uses and which architechture android is built for?

Re: gcdsptool

We don't really support building the tools from source. We recommend and support using devkitPro pacman to manage and install the 198 packages we maintain. We no longer support prefixes outside /opt/devkitpro since building many of the library packages end up with hard coded paths and will end up fa...

Re: cmake "read-only segment has dynamic relocations"

The question in this case becomes "What's the best way to add support for devkitPro toolchains to an existing cmake based project?" A lot depends on how well the existing cmake configuration has been put together and how it expects to find dependencies. This might even require modifying the existing...

Re: autotools project libssh2 porting with libmbedtls

No. You're still doing it wrong. I just tried building the library locally and it works completely fine with the configure parameters I specified and no modifications to any other files. This is even a library that builds fine from a separate directory. See attached build log. The configure very def...

Re: autotools project libssh2 porting with libmbedtls

You shouldn't modify the provided helper scripts, you'll end up with a system that no longer matches the standard toolchain setup which will, unless you upstream suitable changes, make it more difficult to troubleshoot any problems you have. You should use bash or at least something closely compatib...

Re: cmake "read-only segment has dynamic relocations"

The problem is we don't actually have any best practices for using cmake with devkitPro toolchains and nobody seems to want to figure out how to do this right. Cmake has what seems like a richly deserved reputation for being a terrible choice for cross-compiling, most especially in an environment th...

Re: Error trying to install Switch development tools

It's probably not the best of ideas to be downloading a pubkey from somewhere random & installing it without checking its validity. There seem to be issues with keyservers recently for some people. I've updated the instructions to use an explicit keyserver which seems to work. I'm also currently loo...

Re: devkitProUpdater-3.0.3 error - folders aren't installed

Good news. I expect it was just a cache issue somewhere that's been resolved by moving to a different network though.
