Re: How to get content of webpage

Firstly welcome to the forum & thanks for signing up and asking your question here. You mentioned on the libcrtu issue that you're fairly new to C so I'm going to suggest that you do some reading. The online guide that's most recommended is Beej's Guide to C Programming although personally I prefer ...

Re: Extended Palettes and Transparency

It's been a while since most of us dealt with DS code so please bear with us. The first thing that pops out is that the first dimension on the *_EXT_PALETTE array is the hardware background number. The return value from bgInit is an internal id & not related to hw background. You should use the hard...

Re: devkitARM release 52-2 thumb code generation problem

generated code has undefined instructions. Emulation unpaused ARM9: Undefined instruction: 0x33017813 PC=0x020019D8 The generated code is fine. If you look closely the reported undefined instruction has a 32bit encoding (0x33017813) which indicates that the emulator core is trying to run in arm mod...

Wintermute's 2019 Birthday Donation Drive

As some of you may know already it's my birthday today (June 3rd) and I usually take the opportunity to solicit devkitPro donations. If you like the toolchains and you'd consider buying me a beer if you lived nearby then please consider a donation. The Support devkitPro page has a nice list of (tong...

Re: Sprites per scanline limit?

Definitely possible the number is wrong - there are 1232 cycles per line which should equate to 1232 pixels for normal sprites ( 1164 if OAM access is allowed in hblank). Scaled/rotated sprites take 10 + 2 cycles per pixel. In practice you shouldn't hit the limits for normal sprites since they gener...

Re: 3ds-sdl not quite pixel perfect

This is fixed now, thanks to Badda's PRs to our 3DS SDL branch. The 3DS packages have been updated accordingly.

Thanks for reporting, it's very much appreciated.

Re: Forcing resyncClock() on ARM7

Yeah, I know. You don't like Desmume not implementing the necessary IRQ like other emulators No. We don't like implementing workarounds for emulators that don't behave the same way hardware does. End of story. I specifically need to run an utility DS program that uses RTC on a mobile device Why doe...

Re: PAlib does not compile

Correct. PAlib is not supported and will not be supported.

See wiki/PAlib for the semi diplomatic explanation.

tl;dr; PAlib is a pile of utter garbage that doesn't work.

Re: Suggested Update to Wiki: Installing devkitPPC for WSL 1

Did you by any chance have a previous msys2 installation or something that includes it's own msys2 bundle? It's really quite difficult to debug these things after the fact unfortunately. It would have been much better had luckycharms14 sent you to us for support rather than helping you sidestep the ...
