Re: Compiling SDL-Port from CVS

Ignore the port for the time being, it was a rough port that got some things working that proved to be a little on the awkward side. I'm partially through redoing the patches for easier maintenance.

Re: First time in DS dev, having a few problems

Unfortunately we can't support Moonshell, please don't ask.

The problems are due to the design and programming methods used by the original author. It can be fixed with a *lot* of work but we really don't have the resources available to help.

Re: gxSprites example project

Hmm, interesting.

What's the difference between your Wii and your friend's Wii?

Are you using a different boot method? Does he have a later firmware?

Re: Building Problem

devkitARM has not used the arm-elf target in quite some time, we moved to arm-eabi in 2006.

We really need a lot more detail on what you're trying to do before we can help much though.

Are you trying to build code for DS, GBA, GP32 or something else entirely?

Re: Float printing bug in devkitPPC

iprintf is an integer only function which doesn't recognise floating point variables, it was commonly used on the DS because of the lack of an FPU there. Use printf instead.

Re: buildscripts-20080516 problems

In case anyone else is still having trouble with this, bsder has reported success with the most recent binutils snapshot. If things are still breaking for you then delete your binutils archive and grab the latest one. There's also a known good snapshot @ http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?...

Re: problem with devkitARM 23b on OSX

How did you extract the tarball?

Problems like this usually turn out to be using something other than tar, I believe it's related to symbolic links in the archive.

See http://wiki.devkitpro.org/index.php/Get ... /devkitARM ( still a work in progress, sorry )

Re: Using std::list Linker Error

Hi Tim, Good to see you here, been meaning to drop you a mail to say hello since I saw the comment on the main site, poke me if I don't - I'm terrible for not getting around to things. To answer your question, the -msdata=eabi option places small initialised global const data in the sdata2 section, ...

Re: buildscripts-20080516 problems

It should be noted that changing the versions in the buildscripts is highly inadvisable. For what it's worth I've made some notes relating to the OSX version I built recently. One of the biggest issues with building toolchain binaries is the need to minimise the extra dependencies the end user will ...

Re: Where is libnds-src-20080511?

there is no 20080511 release of libnds, this was an accidental commit when packaging devkitPPC r15. The correct version is 20071023

I've corrected this locally & I'm testing the scripts on debian now. I'll upload the fixed set when it's been checked.
