Re: Issues moving from DevKit Advance to devkitARM

Firstly please note that devkitPro is an organisation not a toolchain. You're attempting to move to devkitARM, not devkitPro - I've edited the post accordingly. Hi all, currently having some issues with trying to run a ROM compiled by devkitARM, however I'm not compiling things in the manner as reco...

Re: Please set CTRULIB in your environment: export CTRULIB=<path to ctrulib>".

Sorry, gl3ds is not supported. It will be much less painful to use citro3d or citro2d.

Make sure you're using officially supported installation - wiki/devkitPro_pacman then check the example code under /opt/devkitpro/examples/3ds.

Re: Sinewave sound

Maxmod can do streaming, see https://github.com/devkitPro/nds-exampl ... /streaming which should also be in your /opt/devkitpro/examples/nds directory.

There is more documentation at https://maxmod.devkitpro.org/

devkitARM release 52

devkitARM release 52 is now available via pacman . Use sudo (dkp-)pacman -Syu to update or sudo (dkp-)pacman -S devkitARM to install. We wouldn't normally do another toolchain release quite so soon but gcc 8.3.0 appears to fix the issues people were having with link time optimisation. devkitARM rele...

Re: Tutorials for PSP (Providing links to them, not requesti

Welp, but there is a reason why people used the courtesy build. It´s nearly impossible to compile pspdev yourself as it isn´t supported since a long time - there are too many bugs and errors. Would it be possible to provide a simple how to on how you used to compile pspdev so at least those who nee...

Re: Sinewave sound

Is there a good reason to avoid samples? They can easily be generated on the fly - it's much easier than modulating PSG volume.

Pretty sure the Korg DS-10 uses samples.

Re: Sinewave sound

The PSG generates square waves, you can't make it generate sine waves, sorry.

Re: Every libnx SDL2 homebrew crashes

I do hate to say this but it works for me. The most likely cause of your issue is that you haven't copied the data files to your switch. There's a basic sdl2 sample at https://github.com/switchbrew/switch-examples/tree/master/graphics/sdl2/sdl2-simple which hasn't yet made it out to a release. That ...

Re: dynamic loading without dlopen?

The short answer to this is you don't and you shouldn't dynamically load executable code at runtime in this environment. Everything is statically compiled so there's no easy way to make it work and you just end up with brittle code that tends to fail when the tools are updated. A plugin architecture...
