Re: Help: add "official" include subdir in Makefile

This isn't really a trick as such, it's just how you're supposed to use freetype. I've updated the wiki portlibs page with some useful info, hopefully that helps.

Re: Looking for an Old Version of devkitARM

We don't supply or support old versions of the tools and the code you linked to is incomplete so we can't be of any assistance, sorry.

If you're testing in emulators then bear in mind that most of them aren't really that good with audio.

Re: Help: add "official" include subdir in Makefile

Re: devkitPro Makefile errors: set up devkitARM path

Apologies. My assumption about the path was wrong, it's just an issue I've commonly seen on macOS lately. Your issue was the use of sudo make which uses a different environment which doesn't contain $DEVKITPRO & $DEVKITARM. I presume you've been doing this because the example folders found within /o...

Re: devkitPPC release 34

Having libraries inside the devkitpro folder implies that they're endorsed and/or recommended by us which, unless they're provided by our pacman, they're not. We don't want to endorse libraries that do crazy things like use the GPU to plot pixels in order to draw text. We don't want to endorse libra...

Re: libwiisprite on github

I'd prefer that nothing that hasn't been officially adopted by devkitPro is placed inside the devkitpro folder at all. Here's one of the many reasons why. https://github.com/GRRLIB/GRRLIB/blob/master/GRRLIB/GRRLIB/GRRLIB_ttf.c#L165-L188 My version of grrlib uses only devkitpro (portlibs) libraries,...

Re: libwiisprite on github

The habit people have of just dumping all their libraries into the toolchain installation without bothering to talk to anyone needs to stop as well Correct. What do you thing about add: export USERLIBS := $(DEVKITPATH)/userlibs/ppc to base_tools? If a library is not related with the toolchain and i...

Question:
/opt/devkitpro/portlibs/wii
is a new directory for users libs and include?
No. There should be nothing installed inside the devkitpro folder that hasn't been released by devkitPro.
