Re: Can't find solution for "Please set DEVKITPPC in your environment. export DEVKITPPC=<path to>devkitPPC"

I found a solution actually, I have to run make while signed in to the root account or while using "sudo bash", it doesn't work if I use sudo make though which is interesting. I wonder why this is. Copy the template, don't try to compile it in place. I've edited the poor instructions you finally de...

Re: Can't find solution for "Please set DEVKITPPC in your environment. export DEVKITPPC=<path to>devkitPPC"

Sorry, should have asked for the output of

Code: Select all

echo $SHELL

This should work fine if your shell is bash & you logout & login again after installing the tools. Will need some more investigation if it doesn't.

Re: arm-none-eabi-gcc can't actually compile anything

r51 isn't "sensitive to its environment". devkitARM/bin needs to be in path at compile time so the tools gcc runs can find the required dlls.

Re: Help: add "official" include subdir in Makefile

This isn't really a trick as such, it's just how you're supposed to use freetype. I've updated the wiki portlibs page with some useful info, hopefully that helps.

Re: Looking for an Old Version of devkitARM

We don't supply or support old versions of the tools and the code you linked to is incomplete so we can't be of any assistance, sorry.

If you're testing in emulators then bear in mind that most of them aren't really that good with audio.

Re: devkitPro Makefile errors: set up devkitARM path

Apologies. My assumption about the path was wrong, it's just an issue I've commonly seen on macOS lately. Your issue was the use of sudo make which uses a different environment which doesn't contain $DEVKITPRO & $DEVKITARM. I presume you've been doing this because the example folders found within /o...
