Re: Emulators work with Libfat

At this moment in time there is no libfat support in any emulators.

Have you tried running the libfilesystem tests on your edge using the HBMenu launcher?

Re: load sprites from filesystem

There's a set of functions being written for this exact issue, if you check the IRC channel one of the guys in there will be able to help you out.

There are a few improvements coming in the next release, but if you need some bleeding edge updates you should check the IRC channel.

Re: Hello world: linking problem

OK, I see the issue with your second make results: http://wiki.devkitpro.org/index.php/PAlib In simple terms - Uninstall devkitPro and PALib, then re-install devkitPro only and try the hello_world example only. PALib does some weird things to the toolchain to get it to work and even the current main...

The above code will only work on hbmenu or card firmware's that support the new ARGV protocols.

Basically download the hbmenu from the SVN, and install it onto your card, run that as your firmware, or from your firmware prior to opening your app.

Re: Homebrew Menu

Compiling anything from SVN will require the latest toolchain and library releases, update your installation. And sometimes even then it does not compile as WinterMute likes to dabble with things and update them using the bleeding edge toolchain, not the stable one we use. Mind you at least it's ea...

Re: swiWaitForVBlank crashing

OK, thanks. That's what I thought. Any thoughts on what might cause swiWaitForVBlank() to crash? Again, it crashes in NO$GBA and an actual DS, but not in DeSmuME. It doesn't crash every time, but always under the same circumstances. /me steals WinterMute's normal request line: Please provide a mini...

Re: DS to PC Example/Tutor needed

So basicly I have to learn pc-to-pc communication first and then implement it in pc-to-ds communication?? Basically yes, the way that the dswifi lib works is exactly the same as a standard BSD sockets / network code works. What netwoking devices needed to connect pc to ds?? As long as you have a Wi...

Re: Homebrew Project Questions

6. Why must tile data be written to video memory using a bios call (swiCopy) instead of writing to the space directly? It does not need to be done that way, but if your copying a large amount of data that's in a pre-existing block of memory then an swCopy is the fastest way to copy the data over, y...

Err, wrong forum?

This was in the libogc forum which is for Wii development, not NDS development....
