Built the library with last: pacman-packages/ppc/libjpeg-turbo/PKGBUILD and then my old projects. All right! Thanks. Apologies, I didn't check the package properly. Forgot attempts to cross compile fall back to native tools when the cross compiler isn't found. I'll have a look tomorrow. Newlib headers don't contain these non standard functions which are only used on big endian systems, I'll need to patch somewhere...

Sounds like link order to me. Make sure your LIBS line has -lfreetype -lbz2 and not the other way round.

If it's really 16bit mono then you probably want VOICE_MONO_16BIT_LE rather than VOICE_STEREO_16BIT. Suspect it sounds like static because you're trying to play little endian samples in big endian mode.

Looks like something has changed recently with ca root certificates in OSX. What version is that? I'm going to have to look at how pacman is compiled for OSX and see if I can get it to use the keychain stores but in the meantime can you try downloading cacert.pem from https://curl.haxx.se/docs/caext...

devkitARM defaults to producing little endian code since it's primarily designed to target little endian hardware (GBA, DS, 3DS) - you need to compile with -mbig-endian to produce big endian code which will change __BYTE_ORDER__ appropriately.

devkitA64 release 12 is now available via pacman. Use sudo (dkp-)pacman -Syu to update or sudo (dkp-)pacman -S devkitA64 to install.

  • update to binutils 2.31.1
  • update to gcc 8.2.0
  • fix exception handling
  • produce unwind tables by default.
