The make version supplied by the devkitPro windows installer is 3.81, chances are you have cygwin in your path before msys.

We generally recommend that you don't use cygwin at all since those tools are incompatible with the devkitPro toolchains.

The template projects expect the source code to be in the source directory, laid out in exactly the same way as the supplied examples.

Your problem is placing the source files somewhere that make can't see them thus trying to link object files with no main function.

Yes I've seen the ports, they're an absolute mess & will not be supported by devkitPro. I seriously regret committing that mess to CVS now. There are serious issues with the way those ports are put together. I have an SDL test framework written which corrects some of the issues but I could do wi...

The changes they made for devkitAdvance are pretty specific to that toolchain and unfortunately it's not possible to just take their changes and apply them to devkitARM. Some parts of their patching just aren't applicable to our toolchain and others need to be completely rewritten. A couple of years...

Unfortunately being impatient is going to get you a bit frustrated - we're all unpaid volunteers so sometimes other things have to take priority (much more often than we'd like really). As for PAlib, we strongly recommend that you don't rely on that. There have been serious problems with that librar...

Ignore the port for the time being, it was a rough port that got some things working that proved to be a little on the awkward side. I'm partially through redoing the patches for easier maintenance.

Unfortunately we can't support Moonshell, please don't ask.

The problems are due to the design and programming methods used by the original author. It can be fixed with a *lot* of work but we really don't have the resources available to help.

Hmm, interesting.

What's the difference between your Wii and your friend's Wii?

Are you using a different boot method? Does he have a later firmware?
