devkitA64 release 15 is now available via pacman. Use sudo (dkp-)pacman -Syu to update or sudo (dkp-)pacman -S devkitA64 to install.

devkitA64 release 15
  • update gcc to 10.1.0
  • update newlib to 3.3.0
  • update gdb to 9.1
In addition, the following Switch related libraries have been updated:
  • libnx v3.2.0
  • deko3d v0.2.0
  • switch-examples v20200511
  • switch-libdrm_nouveau v1.0.1 (internal patch release needed for libnx v3.2.0 compatibility)
  • switch-curl v7.69.1-2 (leveraging native SSL/proxy support thanks to libnx and yellows8)
  • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
Several portlibs have been recompiled with latest tools and against updated libraries. The latest newlib has changed struct stat meaning anything using stat or providing a pseudo device driver via devoptab will need rebuilt. These include switch-flac, switch-libmpv, switch-libxml2, switch-mbedtls, switch-mpg123, switch-zziplib, switch-curl.

Finally, devkitPro has a Patreon page. If you like our toolchains/libraries and feel like giving something back, you can become a Patron and help us stay alive and cover expenses. You can, of course, still make a one off donation if you prefer. Either way of contributing will be most appreciated :) We don't usually go to great lengths as to explain why it is necessary; but we'd like to kindly point out the fact that the entire homebrew ecosystem depends on the tools and libraries here at devkitPro we've put so much love and effort into.

This month, we have the following Patrons to whom we would like to give our most sincere thanks! (If you are a Patron and do not wish to be publicly listed, please let us know through any contact platform)

I would like to install previous version(r14-3) via pacman for some reasons. Is there a way to do?

No. We don't support old toolchains, please do not attempt to downgrade your tools.

If you have issues compiling something please ask. We'll help get things building with latest tools as much as we can.
