I wanted to make my contribution, I created a working install script for ubuntu

I am also working on a deb and rpm installer which I will post on my site when finished, I will let all of you know when I am done.

I'd rather you didn't create & distribute either .deb or .rpm archives, these things have a horrible habit of becoming stale quite quickly. I'm working on putting together an installer/updater app that works on OSX & Linux as well as windows - this will have the advantage of always being up to date without the need to repackage components in a special way for a particular OS.

okay, well I've made the deb and rpms before I read this message, however I would love to make deb's and rpm's that run off a script to download and install/upgrade the most current system. Let me know if you want me to create these, should be fairly easy for me
