msys folder empty

Post by india3 » Sat Sep 27, 2008 2:42 am

I just installed devkitpro, and then I tried to compile one of the examples. It gave me the error System: FIle not found. When I started investigating, I found that msys/bin was completely empty. Any idea how I can fix this? I ran the updater, but it didn't do anything...

Open the installed.ini file in your devkitPro folder and change the version number in the msys entry, save & rerun the updater. This time try not to hit the cancel button on the self extracting archive :p

I had exactly the same problem with Updater v. 1.5.0. I'm fairly certain I didn't cancel any part of the install, but I will update this when/if I find out what happened. Did you have any success?

EDIT:

\begin{foot in mouth}

And reinstalling from scratch fixed it. : )

Yeah, unfortunately it's really easy to hit that cancel button accidentally, I really need to redo the installer.
