Shader development with devkitPro/Citro3D

Post by LittleWhite » Mon Mar 12, 2018 12:59 pm

Hello,

I am wondering is there a tool to allow the development of shaderss in a high level langage (such GLSL/HLSL) instead of using ASM (as shown in the examples) ?
If not, is there a documentation for PICA shader ASM ?

Thank you

First of all, you are talking about devkitARM, not devkitPro. The latter is the organization that makes devkitARM and other tools.
Second, unfortunately there is no way to compile GLSL/HLSL shaders for PICA200. You need to write shader assembly. Fortunately there are several references I can point you to: Third, you may be interested in knowing that a high level shading language for the PICA200 is a project I decided to start several months ago, although lately I haven't had the energy to work on it, so I make no promises.

I hope this information is useful to you.
