Tutorials for PSP (Providing links to them, not requesting)

Post by crimsonwolf8439 » Sun Jul 15, 2018 5:32 am

For all those desperately trying to dig up tutorials for the PSP, lo and behold, I've found it. The motherload itself. Here is the link to the list.

I hope you guys have fun learning and programming.

As an aside, I'm slightly disappointed in WinterMute's decision to remove the devkitPSP from the latest versions of devkitPro. Even if for the one or two of us who still want to use it, it's a great pity to lose a resource like this.

WinterMute, if you are reading this (since I can't PM you, don't have enough messages sent or something along those lines), I'd like to request a sincere and proper discussion on the possibility of re-including support for the devkitPSP, as well me hosting the devkitPSP files on my site if not possible.

devkitPro is no longer providing or supporting devkitPSP, sorry.

Re-hosting the old devkitPSP binaries is a violation of the license and our trademarks, please don't do it. We no longer support these binaries and currently have no plans to bring back support.

devkitPSP was only ever a courtesy build of the toolchain patches found at https://github.com/pspdev which unfortunately doesn't actually fit that well with our other toolchains and libraries. We don't really have the people or the resources to carry on providing binaries or support users of old toolchains at this time.

You are of course perfectly welcome to use https://github.com/pspdev to build and provide your own up to date courtesy binaries should you so desire. Please note https://devkitpro.org/wiki/Trademarks

I'm sorry this isn't the answer you were hoping for.

I can't say I'm not sad, but I understand the practical side of it. As for the file hosting, rest assured I won't infringe on the rights :D
