possible libogc problems with controller calibration

So basically, I was having the byte from the controller control a sprite on screen, offsetting its position on screen, and I wanted to see what would happen if I re calibrated the controller with x + y + start, when holding up, left, or down on the controller it would properly offset, causing it go to the opposite value when in neutral, however when I tried doing the same thing, except holding the controller to the right does not work correctly. When i hold it halfway to the right, it will update properly until the value 64, after which it will just not calibrate the x axis at all. It happens both when recalibrating with X Y Start, and when plugging in the controller, any origin value over 64 to the right will just be set to 0.
