Suitable RS232 level convertor for DSerial EDGE

I'm making good progress with my DSLinux driver and I've got to the point where I need to see if anythings working. Unfortunately I have an EDGE, which doesn't have the required line drivers on it. I was looking at the MAX3232CPE+, is this likely to do what I want?

Also I remember reading somewhere that the Vcc on the DSerial is 3.3v, is this correct?
