Compiled Gamecube DOL -> HDD ISO

Post by smyll » Fri Jan 14, 2011 12:43 pm

Hi all,

I am a french programmer on Win/linux, and newby on this forum. I have a Gamecube game or application project.

I have a trouble with DOL compiled with devkitpro :
-> I compile exemples such as devkitPro\examples\gamecube\graphics\gx\triangle. I get the corresponding GC dol.
-> The test with Dolphin works fine.. I see a nice triangle ;)

Now i would like to build a GC ISO with this dol and execute it on my wii (via an external HDD + Wode). I do not use any HBC...

Do anyone have any idea or have ever do it?

Thanks ;)

Only legal, all for fun.

I don't get it. Why is HBC not an option? I mean, the whole purpose of HBC *is* to be able to run homebrew apps easily, from a SD/USB drive. Do you have any specific reason you won't use HBC for your application?

What's possibly a better question is ... why do you want to run gamecube binaries on a Wii? HBC isn't an option for gamecube mode.
