devkitARM on Gentoo

Hey there,
so I'm on Gentoo, wanted to follow the installation instructions, and noticed that they have dropped sys-apps/pacman from the repositories.... it seems like there is no overlay featuring it either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do now? Compiling a git release or something like that?
